La Maison LONG is located in the heart of the medieval village of Ollioules in the South of France (Var, Provence-Alpes-Cotes-D'Azur) in an off-the-beaten-track village just 5 kilometers inland from the coast.
Ollioules has wonderful bakers, butchers, markets, cafes, restaurants, and art studios all within walking distance.
“In addition to the intrinsic qualities of the house, its location is a major asset: less than 200m from the market square and a few steps from all the shops, lovers of small southern towns will be charmed for a stay in Ollioules full of history.” - Sarah Msika.
Ollioules is the first Provencal town from the coast, a detour between nature and architecture, art and the richness of a terroir:
-
La Maison du Patrimoine
-
Nougat Jonquier for 6 generations
-
Le Domaine de Terrebrune (AOC Bandol)
-
30 craftsmen, ceramists, stained-glass artists, jewelers, sculptors, etc. Holder of the national “Ville et Métiers d'Art” label since 1998, Ollioules is home to some thirty craftsmen who promote the cultural heritage and know-how of Provence. Most workshops are located in the town center.

RENOWNED CALANQUES DE CASSIS
Thirty minutes away from Ollioules lie the hidden bays of the Calanques, accessible only by boat – or good hiking boots. The 10-mile stretch of coast between Cassis and the city of Marseille features not only France's highest sea cliffs but also a series of Calanques: fjord-like inlets carved into the white limestone. (The Guardian). Enjoy your cruise!
WORLD-FAMOUS BANDOL WINE REGION
The French winemaking region of Bandol is one of Provence’s most internationally recognized wine regions. The Bandol AOC covers the production of 8 communes (including Ollioules) with a warm climate ideally suited for the late-ripening Mourvèdre grape - the main varietal of the region, which accounts for at least 50% of the blend for both the red and rosé wines. Grenache and Cinsault grapes make up the rest.
The vineyards of the AOC Bandol have so much to offer, both to newcomers to the world of wine and serious oenophiles alike!
Happy wine touring!
